CV Boot expander tool?
Has anyone ever used one of those CV boot expanders to install a boot without breaking apart the CV Joint? I've been struggling with my CV joint. Can't get any of the axle to come apart and I'm not excited about spending another $800 to replace 2 axleshafts that are in great condition.

If they are in great shape, why are you working on them?
I have had to ...
1. Remove the circlip, cut the boot off, put the axle in a press and press out the shaft from the CV joint.
2. Clean everything up, reassemble with new boots.
