It was a great weekend, the weather Sunday was unbelievable, could not been any better. I had my first off on Sunday thanks to a stupid mistake. Nothing hurt but pride.....and now I have a very dirty interior.

What color is your 996? What group? I was the black RSA in B.

The one with the smiley face on the back? That rocks.

You passed me right before the esses when you visited B group. Sounds good on tape also.

2:11 is crazy fast. My best time this weekend (second time there full course) was a 2:24, but only got three clean laps all weekend in B. My instructor said I should go to A next time, which looks like next year I guess for Mazda.

Hopefully I can get it on the web for you. I am technically challenged, but I have a friend who might be able to post it on his site. If not, maybe I can burn it to a video tape. However, you will only see your car from under the bridge to over the hill on the back straight (1/2 lap or so). Then you were gone!

I'm disappointed I didn't get my app in time for that event. I think that same 911 passed me earlier in the year at the Mazda event in the B group -- flew past us up into the North Course section.

What do you have done to the suspension on that car?

Are you guys doing the Mazda Shenandoah event?

Its just a bone stock 2000 996 purchased new from Leith Porsche in Cary, NC. Just kidding. The motor is all stock, I mainly focused on suspension, and brakes. Its suspended by double adj. JRZ's, with upper monoballs front, and rear. I have a set of supercup swaybars, with GT3RS adj. droplinks. The brakes are off a 993 GT2, with pagid orange pads. It rolls on Kinesis K28's 18/9 and 18/11's wrapped in Dunlop slicks.
PS. just purchased an extended warranty last week.

It's stock alright! You must have a different exhaust, because it sounds like a GT3. I will let you know about the video....

The VIR club sounds great, the only thing is the 4.5 hour drive. Maybe next year. I plan on being at Potomac's and NNJR's VIR events later this year.

BTW, all Shenandoah events for August have been cancelled including Mazda's. You can check out the SPR site. Sucks.

That is an option you have, but you can actually join VIR, think of it as a golf country club, but instead of driving the fairway, your driving the back straight. Visit www.virclub.com for more information.

Some tracks are known to have surfaces that chew up tires faster than others. Anyone care to comment whether VIR is one of them?
