Default Request from the 996 Targa owners

Hello,
I’m working on a project and found out that the different generations of Targa script on the backs of the cars has varying font sizes. I was hoping someone on this forum with a factory 996 Targa could measure the total height of the letter T on their badge, and also the total height of one of the lower case letters. Thanks in advance for any help. Cheers Steve

OP, you didn't mention what your 'project' is but if it's something that needs accuracy, I would try to get the dimensions in millimeters. Most people that don't own a metric measuring device just round off inaccurately when using inches.

Thanks, because of the nature of the shape of the letters, they are actually quite hard to measure accurately, even with a vernier, so yes I take the closest measurement and convert it to a whole MM. Eventually you come up with pattern, like the 996’s perhaps use a 30mm capital and 18mm lower case, and 997 are perhaps 25mm capital and 15mm lower case, etc etc. Leave it up to Porsche to change font size for every car! Lol

In case it helps since I happen to have a spare Targa emblem for my 2002 996.
