Default Cabrio rear windows, help

Hi, is there a trick to get the cabrio rear windows to come up?

I Have tried the usual pressing the roof switches etc, but wondering if there is something different to try?

Roof thinks it's partially open unfortunately.

Pretty sure you can't raise the rear windows if the roof is open. So there is no trick. You'd need to fix the issue with it thinking it's open, or find whatever microswitch is triggered, and fake it.

I had an issue with my headliner latch, where it would not finishing latching which caused the roof to technically never be closed. You may want to outline more about your problem.

Where the roof closes up top near the windshield in the center. Inside that latch area there is a little button or switch that gets depressed when the rooof is closed. If you push down on that manually the rear windows will operate.

Benstag1, there is a slim plastic cover over the latching hook that pulls the top tight against the windshield frame. That piece of plastic can break and fall off without you noticing. When it does, the roof won't close all the way. That little piece of plastic adds about 2mm to the end of the latching hook which is just enough to hit the microswitch and allow you to raise the rear windows. The part number is 996 561 787 01. If you need to replace it, just cut off all but the end that goes around the hook and glue it in place. If it is missing and you have to buy a new one, do yourself a favor and buy 2 and leave one in the glovebox.
