I am planning on changing my exhaust tips on my C4 and came across this on 911pcar.com. Are they the PSEs or the standard stock 996 mufflers? It is advertised as a "996 sport mufflers with chrome tips" $500 is what they are asking for it. The tips alone that I wanted were over $400.

What are your general thoughts on buying a used set of mufflers. Is it a NO NO?

Will I get the great exhaust note that most with the PSE rave about with just the mufflers? Or do I need the entire cat back system for that? Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

CLL ACAB

Those are stock mufflers. The sport mufflers have baffles on them. Here's a link to a picture.

Those don't look like PSE. However, you don't need the cat back system for the sound, just the PSE mufflers.
