Default strange noise?

Hi,
My car is making a strange noise when the car is warm (ie: after a long drive). The car is making a 'ticking' noise when its warm. It seems it's coming from the transmission. If I press the clutch pedal, the sound is gone. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Is the sound coming when you are in neutral or in gear?

Hi,
It's a 02 Carrera. The sound is present when I am in neutral. If I am in neutral and stepping on the clutch, the noise is gone. Thanks!

To me it sounds like flywheel rattle, but you should have it checked out if it concerns you.

My Corvette rattled a lot too, you just have to live with it on lightweight flywheels.
