Battery Question

Aside from the Porsche battery, what other batteries will work in my 99 996? I need to replace the battery tomorrow and the dealer is closed. Is there any certain specs that the battery must be within?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I went to my local autozone and they had a battery for $60. I hate to think what the dealer would charge. I called two auto parts stores and they both had a european fit battery. It fit perfect.

I also have an AutoZone/Duralast group size battery for $60. It is made by Johnson Controls which makes batteries for many companies, including Sears. The specs are higher than the original German Moll battery.

Thanks guys,

I got a new one that is made in Indonesia. I was told it was higher spec than the original. A little more than $60, but it was a pain jumping it all the time.
