Can I put my 6 year old twins in the back of my 996 WITHOUT a booster seat? They seems to fit perfectly back there, but wife gives me a hard time. What do you guys do? Thanks.

The law in California is that a booster is not needed for 6 y/o or 60 lbs, but the recomendation from the child safety group is to keep them in a booster until they are 8. Its OK, but it is safer to be in a booster.

Aahh, just duct tape the kid in and forget about the seat belt....
If god forbid something where to happen that a booster seat could have prevented you will never forgive yourself...get one

I have my 8 year old and 6 year old sit in there with no booster. But it's usually only for short fun drives around town. Long drives usually involve the whole family, and the 6 year old sits in a booster in the minivan

Booster is safer; use them... I do. I couldn't deal with the idea if something did happen and I didn't use the booster and the kid got hurt; I'd be killing myself forever. Plus, boosters are so easy to use I can't imagine thinking twice about using one.

depends on where the belt meets the shoulder. My 6 year old just moved out of the booster in the back seat. She still uses it in the front and in the back of other full size cars.
Without the booster the belt was well positioned and her feet were on the floor. All the booster does is lift the kid up a few inches. If the kids fit better in the mini back seats without them then I dont use them. With the low belts in back, a booster could actually position the belt too low. All about fit, not rules.

We use this seat; it appears to be the safest way for kids to travel in a car due to the excellent side impact protection and the seat back adjusts in height so you get a perfect belt fit as the kid grows...
