I heard the C4S (996) would be produced for another two years? Is this correct, or is this year the last? It seems with the Carrera and Carrera S both being widebody, a C4S is superfluous. . .

 

I believe you are correct, the C4S will continue production through 2006.

 

I know that it will exist in MY05, ill be surprised if any 996 cars carry over for MY06

 

Yeah, that was my thinking, too. I guess we will find out. I personally like the C4S a lot, it has its own unique look, with the wrap around tail light etc.

 

The dealerships I've talked to even said there is a possibility of the 2005.5 Carrera 4 coming out. I think the remaining C4s are in their waning days. Which leaves me wondering if I should wait for the 997......hmmmm

 

after my love affair with my Targa ends (if ever) I want to go into a C4S next - I also love the look and AWD is a major bonus in Northern New Jersey...
