I just got my new 911 in yesterday and as the driver (hence refered to as jackass) backed it off the truck he loss control of it with the door open which hit a support pillar of the truck and bent the door all the way around!!! I was ready to kill the jackass, now I have to get it fixed before I can have any fun! Not a good week

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!!!!!!!

It would have taken every ounce of self restraint NOT to kill him, literally. Hope you can get it fixed properly...

CAC Trucking, Inc.

The hinges on the car don't seem to be bent, the hinges on the door gave way so I'm hopeful it will be fixed properly.

Ouch, that hurts to look at. Is the 996 brand new from the dealership or previously obsessed over??? Either way, thats a real kick in the pants. You might want to try for additional compensation due to decreased value caused by body/paint work...

Yeah I've told the trucking company I want loss of value compensation. It wasn't new but it was an 03 with 1600 miles on it, so not far from it.

Stuff happens, but that's ridiculous. What was the rep doing backing the car off the truck with the door open?

Sloth is right about extra compensation for the repair/repaint.

Sorry, I have to admit I laughed when I saw that as a friend backed his Hummer up on the street and had the door open....whammo...took the door clean off on a lightstandard....It sucks, but it'll be fixed I'm sure good as new...at least he didn't run you over or something.

Not a nice way to start with a new car...let us know what happens and sick some lawyers on them if they stry from total compensation.

Cheers

What a MORON!!!! I couldn't imagine proudly watching my shining new p-car roll off the truck as visions of my first drive flash through my head and then...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are anything like me I'm a kid at Christmas time when I get a new car. My heart would have broken when the door went crunch - a scratch would have sent me sideways.

Wow, sorry man, that pic is painful to look at.

No way those hinges and the pillar are not bent. If you dont get an absolute A++ job on this you will remember this incident every time you close the door.

Very sorry to see this.. This car is practically new..

If it did bend or deform the A pillar local to the hinge boss', this door may never shut right despite competent repair..

I would talk to some good body shops about the probability of this..

Man, so sorry to see this...
