Rear brake light question
Do I understand correctly that there are two types or 3rd brake lights on 996, which are not cross compatible?
I apologise if this has been mentioned before.
Type 1: ones fitted on the boot lid (996 Carrera variants + GT3)
Part numbers 99663105000, 99663105002, 99663105004 and 99663105006
Type 2: ones fitted on the boot spoiler (996 Turbo variants + GT2)
Part numbers 99663105001, 99663105003, 99663105005 and 99663105001

My C4 996.2 has a light on the deck lid and a light under the spoiler when it goes up.. They don't look the same..
Total super wild *** guess.. (SWAG) I would guess that moving spoiler models use 1 of each and the turbo uses the one that fits in the bottom of the Carrera wing(Smaller)
