Hi Bergs - sorry, didn't see this earlier. It's actually even cheaper now.

If all you want to do is charge your phone and listen to music, I have been really pleased with this
 little gadget little gadget
.

anyway so far so good.
Before I went with the Continental head unit on my '99 C2, I was using a $10.00 Bluetooth adapter that plugged into CD changer plug. Seemed to work fine.

You didn't mention what head unit you have but FWIW, here are the instructions to enable the Aux function on the CDR 220.

I had that exact same BT unit before i went with Rennkit, it couldn't do phonecalls, and did not provide a USB function for charging and the music quality had a buzzing. Whereas the rennkit was able to do both.

I also had bought a cigarette lighter with a USB to charge my phone and it was not a good solution it looked clunky, and with the cigarette lighter being a european spec socket the adapter kept falling out or coming loose every 20 minutes of driving, i was looking for a better look and less cables so mine ended up looking like this... as i found a better USB adapter that i incorporated into the rennkit that replaced the factory cigarette socket hole exactly...

Same kit I installed, agree, it works great and as mentioned, also provides other input options besides just Bluetooth.
