I all, I hope you are all doing fine.

I have a 2002 996.2 Conv. Have been working like a charm, I am open and closing the roof many times a day, or at least few times a day. And never any issues. Today I encountered something that I hope you can help with.

When opening (With Key fob or button in the car, result the same) It opens a little and stops for a few seconds and after a few seconds it REALLY start to move, much faster than usual and it DROPS with a noise. There used to or should be a "soft close", I hope you know what I mean.

Same same thing happpens when I close it, it does not move for a couple of second and then closes.

WHAT I see, and I think is very important information is that it is "hanging lower", "looser", "not so stable" on the passenger side of the roof , right side.

Also:


A small rubber thing in the roof are getting stuck on the lever in the start, like it is hanging more on the right side, (Passenger side)


Any ideas from any of you are much apppreciated!

Solved, I opened it up and it was the Lever on the right side that was loose, or popped out as the bold that keeps it in place was laying on the floor..
