Default 5 point install?

I am installing a five point harness in my 2002 996. Before I take out my seats, How will I bolt in the sub-belt?

Thanks.

Do you have the GT3 or racing seats with the sub belt hole? If not, no where good, really. GT3 seats will not only have the sub-belt hole, but come with the sub-belt bracket. On the standard seats, there is no bracket for the single sub-belt. Even if there was, the sub-belt would then have to take a circuitous route around the front of the padded seats. At impact, the cushions compress allowing the sub-belt to extend, which then allows the lap belts to ride up and the driver to submarine under the belts.

Get the appropriate seats and bracket. Not only is it safer, it looks waaay cool.

Palting,

I have GT3 seats from the Rennlist group buy DEVEK.

Are you saying that it has a place to bolt in the belt? I had Gert send an underseat bar. No plase to bolt in to.

roberga: To install the GT3 sub belt bar you have to unbolt the GT3 seat frame from the front of the sliders. You'll notice the bolts at the front of the frame/slider are longer than the ones in back and that's so you can attach the sub belt bar. It is much easier to get the aforementioned bolts out if you first detach the seat from the seat frame.
