Default Anyone has any informations about an original Grey Gauges?

I bought used gauges in grey. I thought, they were aftermarket, but they got original VDO Numbers.

Did anyone got any informations about this?

I was looking vor the rev meter in grey. Someone decided to build a Boxter Part in this...

I can only speak to my 2000 model year US Spec 996 Gauges which were specified as option X45 - Colored instrument dials, they are the same color as the interior which is Natural brown.
