its interesting that one described it as a monster of a car, i never thought that - being that it was a low optioned car, it was very user friendly and i let all my friends drive it b/c it was very easy car to drive. while the was quick in its time, i never felt it was fast - it was more of a balanced vehicle. i actually went oldschool after driving the 996.2 and i got an 83 BMW 320 w/ dual carbs, that was a real analog car

Keep on her, you got it! I just got away with something similar. I convinced my wife that if I sold the 986S we could upgrade to a C4S cab as a 'family' car to fit a car seat in the back. We now have a C4S cab in the garage that comfortably fits the 3 of us including little girl in a rear facing car seat. Weekend afternoon naps are perfect 2 hours fun driving opportunities.
I'll echo what they said at the end of the article. I wish I had picked one up 5 years ago when I bought my GTI instead. The maintenance scared me away at the time and I wish it hadn't.

Chicco Keyfit30 without the base. Don't let me fool you though, I am lucky that my wife is 5'1" and is content not being able to recline. I probably only have a few more months of that level of patience with my wife!

We use a beat-up old Cayenne for the dog—and pulling out bushes, trees, and other things you would expect a farm tractor to do.
Also, if you want something slightly different, last December we bought a 2021 Macan, but my wife has now claimed 100% ownership of that vehicle and hell will have to arrive before we put fur in that vehicle.
The Macan is very modern, drives well, comfortable on a completely different plane than any 911, and can carry things. Not a substitute, but complimentary to the GT3.

i got Apr tune well worth the money. Anyway in a bit about two o clock in the morning I’m going to the streets of Mexico to let the turbo rip if you don’t know what I’m talking about just watch 1320 video and you see what it’s all about. I already put two and a half gallons of 104 octane race fuel but haven’t decided which license plate I’m wearing tonight no the regular 996 is not capable enough to play in this league you need at least 600 horsepower
I’m like the transporter while people are wearing about the debt ceiling the border problems etc all I’m concerned about is shifting gears and having fun yes I have already hit the juice

It's been a year since this post. Whatever happened to our crazy Luis? Hope he didn't wrap his 996 TT around a tree flying triple digits while drunk in Mexico. No one can talk up his abilities to consume endless varieties of meat and drink while talking about being the glory days of working for Valvoline like Luis.
