Default stuck window

Driver side window wont budge. No movement when opening the door, pressing window switch, or via key method (turn key to left or right in driver side door). I don't hear any noises when trying to activate the window. The passenger window is working as expected.

Is the window motor most likely the culprit, or is it possible for the regulator to completely jam up?

No noise at all i'd say motor. Check the fuse first though there are individual fuses for left and right if I remember correctly

Also if it is the motor remember the regulators fit both the 996 and 996 but the motors differ

I checked fuses B6, C3, and D1- all good. I just ordered a used window motor from a 996 coupe. What do you mean that the motors differ?
I'm going to drive around on bumpy roads while pressing the window switch. Hopefully the motor/brushes will free itself.

Was more an FYI that the window regulators are interchangeable with the 986 Boxster but the motors are not.

Don't install a used window motor without refurbishing if first. I just posted a thread on it:
