2000 cabrio. Car has 32k miles
bolster on top rear driver seat split.
was quoted 3500$ for both top and bottoms on front seat new.
I know can’t do just top of drivers seat cause won’t match and look terrible.
anyone know place northeast mass that can fix leather or just get new covers?

A decent leather shop could easily repair it

I haven't used this, but I see it on Amazon - actually Amazon in Canada. I imagine it will be less expensive in the U.S.:

+1

Had a similar scenario and a local shop replaced just the section that had the issue. One additional positive is they managed to do it without looking "too new".

I’ve used Leatherworld Technologies (www.leatherworldtech.com) repair kits with great success. That’s a simple repair you have there - about $90 for the kit… Good luck

I previously posted about leathermagic.com, but the recommendation from dporto to use leatherworldtech.com is better. They have the exact Porsche color match and placed my order just 5 minutes ago, so thanks dporto!

you could do this yourself with seatdoctors.com seat crack filler and the appropriate porsche leather dye.

you just smear the crack filler in, sand it with 600, 800, and 1000 grit sand paper. and then dye it with a sponge and a heat gun.

its seriously Like New.

I just checked out seatdoctors on your advice and there's another good choice! Great before and after pictures. Thanks, pulpo!

I’ve used the dye from seat doctors as well (to match “natural brown” leather) and it was very good…

Thanks folks. I’ve got a repair person coming by Tuesday. Was quoted 450$ and 250$ to do bottom bolster that’s a little cracked. $700 for it to look repaired a s similar to your photos works for me. I’m not one to shop around wt mechanical needs and understand these cars need funds to keep happy but nearly 4K for seat covers is above my budget. Having new tires mounted on turbo twist wheels next week and few items addressed. Better to keep some funds available. I’ll post pics when repaired
