Default Retrofit Lab Headlights

Has anyone tried the Retrofit Lab headlight updates to the HID lights on the 996? The stock HID lights aren't great, and I'm guessing that the car needs new projectors. Has anyone any experience of this? Also does anyone know any shops that can do installation in the San Diego area?

Thanks in advance
Barry

I did the retrofit from retrofitlab.com and the difference was literally night and day. I didn’t even change my bulbs (since I had put new bulbs in a bout a year before - didn’t do much if anything…). The light output with the retrofit lenses & reflectors is easily on a par with modern lights. All for about $190 US. (159 euro plus shipping).

@Plays with Cars will help you out. I've posted several times in past about the RFL experience and upgrading. My lights are the bi xenon litronic. I went with the default upgrade from RFL, and I'm happy with the pros. I struggled with the install, a bit and had to deal with crumbling insulation on the wires, but I'm happy. They're still burning bright 🌞

I did it. Big improvement. It's worth it. I wouldn't pay a shop to do it... it's very simple.
