Cab Window Question?
Guys,
Anyone replaced their Cab rear plasic window? I recently noticed the areas connecting with actual top seperating from the top. Thanks in advance to all replies.

I am having the same problem on my 2000 Cab. Very dissapointing. I have heard some say that you cannot replace the window without getting a whole new top....while others say so can get just the window.
Can anyone clarify?

I haven't done it, but I've read ( and looked) the 996 has zipper window so you can replace it. It's the Boxsters that you can't from what I understand.
I am agree, it is very dissapointing. I am not sure if the zipper is for the headliner or the rear window? I need to check it out. I also find out company called tops online selling for $595 for the complete top. I am not sure about the quality but there is a significant price difference between some other companies selling tops for our cars. If anyone replaced their window we need their feedback.

If you are talking about the 02+MY glass window then the answer is no. If you have a 99-01 MY then you are stuck with plastic. Reason is the way the top folds into the rear. The 99-01 will not accommodate the glass. How do I know, tried to get the dealer to do this on mine.

I had the same issue (plastic separation) with my 99. I was 1 month out of warranty!! The dealer and I reached an agreement - I paid for the top and they covered the labor (the whole top was replaced - $800), not sure on labor cost.
You may find someone who will repair (glue) this - I don't think this would be a lasting solution however.
