The side markers on my 2002 996.2 only blink and do not come on as side markers. Not sure if this is original or if they have been modified.
Anyway, I'm working on making them do both - white side markers with switchback amber sequential blinkers. Seems we all want what we don't have lol

Morimoto makes a replacement for these as well, I put them in mine and they work as one would expect.

Here is a related comment / question. One of the most loved aspect of Porsche cars is the beutiful, smooth, flowing lines. I've actually noticed many times how this side marker seems harsh to the rest of the car. JMO but these side markers seem really out of place. Is it just me?
