Default Another help with radio thread...

I have a 2002 C4S with the original radio in it. Radio turns on, can see the orange backlight glow but no sound.

Steps taken so far from Forum searches.
  1. new fuses. + pulled the radio out and changed the fuse in the back.
  2. Hooked up a different (working) amp. No difference.
  3. Put in a new Continental head unit (powers up but no music).
I get the static kind of noise (thumping sounds) from the speakers. The head units have power.

What else can I do? I recall a thread saying to replace the headlight switch? Anything else?

Thanks in advance.

Well the door speakers r low pass so they may be working (also the factory amp sucks and so do all the speakers) and the rest may be blown or disconnected. Pull a speaker and hook a known good one in.

If the radio turns on its not the headlight swich. If u have no sound to the other speakers its not a 12v power issue.
