Secondary Bypass Valve Has Oil In It
Hey guys, as most of you all know I'm rebuilding my engine (which is complete, btw) and am now bolting on all the sensors and vacuum system. In cleaning this part a large amount of oil came out of it. I'm thinking this was caused by somewhere else, like the AOS. Basic blow test passes. These things aren't cheap so looking for feedback before I replace it. Obviously the AOS system is being replaced, as are most of the hoses.

Going with the UAOS? Probably a wise move…

UAOS should prevent this since oil would end up in the accumulator and you'd receive a visual warning.
I would add the UAOS to your build if it were me.

Nah, I can't spend that on the UAOS. I'm pretty good at dropping these engines now so it won't bother me too much if I have to get at it for some reason. All new o-rings, and parts should help with that. Thanks guys!

Maybe by the time you’re ready to address the AOS the FSI version will have hit the market.
