Default What is this leaky part between Bank 2 and AOS?

Hi all,

In the middle of an engine-out refresh of parts. I’m trying to find a name for this part that I found leaking. It is connected to the Bank 2 head, at the top rear (above Cyl 4). It’s got 3 ends - one end looks like an “X” grill perhaps a vent, one end goes into the head, the other end goes into a hard pipe that goes to the AOS (which I plan on replacing with UAOS)

Is it a common leak point? What all do I replace that is associated with it other than the AOS?

That’s a safety valve for crankcase ventilation.

You’ll need to replace all O-rings and check that valve holds some rubbing alcohol when inverted.

If valve drips get a replacement.

Where might these O rings be? I can’t find much info about this part.

i believe the part you are looking at is 6 in the diagram, and 7 is the O ring.
not very expensive part, so you might consider replacing it.
