Here's another idea.... What if the front 'plate' was a 'sticker' instead? We could get a reflective sticker made up of our plate and stick that on (whether it's adhesive or static - whatever works) and it wouldn't alter aerodynamics and wouldn't cause any scratches either. Sure, it still doesn't look as clean as NOT having a front plate, but it might be the next best thing. I asked a Sherriff about this when I was last taking care of my fixit ticket (two in the last month by the way) and he said that it had to be a government issued plate. Personally I wonder if it might work anyway....

I have removed the front plate again. I used to get tickets from parking police too, so now when I park, I put one of those temporary 'dealer' plate holders on the front (it hangs from inside the trunk).
