I was replacing the starter on my 996 and before removing the starter I noticed a loose electric connector just dangling near the starter (images attached). It doesn’t seem to connect anywhere and was not part of the steps I took to remove the starter. Any ideas and where it goes or what it does? Thanks for the notes! The car is a manual so would make sense that it is unused if it’s for the tip. I left it alone tucked safely like it had been before and after putting everything back together car runs perfectly fine just as it had before.
