I remember a guy who had a digital scanner and a small laptop. I think the guy did the cannonball or gumball. Anyway, he had "acquired" the frequencies for each "market" on a laptop and was able to get the scanner to focus on specific frequencies in specific areas. He also had a program that captured the frequencies that were more "desirable" and a way of ignoring those that were from the garbage man. All in, this is a little over the top, and its a constant challenge as they change all the time.

Personally, I think they are great just to listen to the truckers with. When driving down to SC, its very amusing and also very helpful, especially in states like Va that don't allow radar detectors.

Nice idea to have a scanner in your car and nice install.
Questions: where did you splice in to get power to the Uniden? What else do you pick up besides Smokies?? Was the Becker Monza OEM for your P???

How much did this come out to$? Any way in getting some info on installation. Depending on the cost and labor involved, I might be interested.
