Hey everyone, i am working on a project for a finance class and i need some assistance. The project is to take a company and analyze them financially against a competitor or the industry average.
I of course chose Porsche. Well, they dont really have a good competitor to use, and i wasnt able to find Ferrari's annual report.
Does anyone know where to get, or have access to auto-industry averages for financial information? (ROE, debt ratios, Inventory turnovers, profit margins, ROI, etc.. etc...)
If not, does anyone know of a good competitor for Porsche, or where i can get the annual report for 2003 for Ferrari, Aston Martin, or Lamborghini ?
Thanks-

You've picked a tough one. Only public companies publish these things. Ferrari is still (to my knowledge) a private company. Lambo is owned by Mercedes/Chrysler, Aston/Martin is owned by Ford (I think) and I don't think that they'll break down those numbers in any annual report.
Maybe you should have picked a cat food company?

Very confusing when a Mazda is really a Ford and a Saab is a GM. I guess the only small independents left are Porsche and BMW.
