Hi, how much does a 04 C2 convertible with a rebuilt status worth? I’m looking to buy but scared of the title.
car had 50k miles, blue on grey leather and IMS just been done

Whats the % between a clean title and a salvage on?

Lots of insurance companies won’t do full coverage on salvage cars, and as of lately some wont even insure liability.
Something to consider.

I haven't heard that before and I've he'd several motorcycles that were salvaged title but things do change. If thats the case just call around as I'm sure if you are willing to pay someone will insure it. I've used All State for all mine. As for value & concern, don't worry about it. Yes it's about 20-30% less but as long as the damage wasn't to bad and everything fixed properly you're fine. I'm in the same boat.....looking at a 2001 996 C4 and if it works out fine I will buy it. Good luck and report back with pictures of the car.

Get a ppi that will give you some leverage and a better price pint
also I never experienced no insurance company problem on coverage

The car is probably worth somewhere between $10k-$30k. Maybe post the ad for the car, reason while totaled?

Car is 6 speeds. 50 000 miles. Owner say it was damaged on the front right. But no proof.
not my favorite interior colour, little faded as this is a 18 YO car. Hood latch is broken and need to be repair and need new rear tires.

he is asking $33k but looking around they are around $30k with clean title

33k for a rebuilt cab? I don't think so, can easily pick something up for that price that has a clean title.

Gotcha. If that is about 2/3rds of what a clean one would go for in Canada then sure.
