1999 Carrera starts idles till warm, shuts off/ won't restart/ cranks
Hi looking for some input I don't have any diagnostic software for a Porsche at the moment. The car starts up normal, idles normal for 10-15 minutes than it shuts off/ stalls out, and will only turn over will not restart. Wait for few hours or come back next day, starts right up does the same thing. This has been a daily thing as I move it around to work on other vehicles.

Sounds like a failing fuel pump. Take a pressure reading at the port on the fuel rail, I vaguely recall it should be around 50-55 bs pressure right after you turn the key but before the engine starts. Monitor your reading after startup until it stalls, should still hold pressure even after stalling cause the fuel pump should still be running. This test will either confirm the fuel pump is faulty or eliminate it as a cause of your stalling issue. Best of luck.

Crank position sensor. Does the tach jump when trying to restart it? If not, it's the crank position sensor.
