Default Will a 997 headlight bolt right in to a 996?
Sure it will leave a weird hole, but I'm just wondering if a 997 headlight will mount right in.

Short answer: No.

Slightly longer answer: you would need the headlight and the mounting brackets for it, but those won't just bolt in and would need fabrication. Also, the headlight cutout in the bumper would be way off not just in size but overall placement.

There are kits to make the conversion to a 997 bumper, fenders and head lights
