I think I need to pull the stereo out and see what I'm dealing with. I hope for a connection that will be hidden in the dash and activated by selecting AUX or similar.
I used a Tranzlt Blu RF device. I think if you have a CD changer there are devices that use that input. I don't have a CD changer so had to wire it in.
CDR-23 uses an optical MOST bus, so no conventional aux port in the back. You can put an FM modulator on the antenna to create an analog aux port. Sound isn’t great but it is easy and cheap. (I think I have one I can give to you for shipping cost if you PM me.) More expensive and better are the MOST gateways from Dension, which is what I ended up doing. I think there are other vendors out there now with MOST gateways as well.
Do you have a CD changer? If so you can get the "Mr. 12 Volt" MOST bluetooth interface. Really, that's what it's called. I have one and it works quite well. I paid about $120 which was a lot nicer than $500 for the Denison device. I think rennkit.com has them.
It looks like there are more options out there now. I see Pelican Parts has the Porsche Rennkit Bluetooth Retrofit Kit for Most Fiberoptic Audio Systems. If I didn't already do this job, I would probably give that one a try since it combines the MOST gateway with the bluetooth capability and looks as easy to install as an FM modulator.
I also prefer the factory look and don't see myself ever swapping out the original head unit. Unless Porsche adds wireless carplay to their new PCCM+ AND they lower the price to the $xxx's range.

I do not have a CD changer. I'm guessing there's differences with CDR23 units, if the car was optioned with or without a CD changer?
Is there? That would be sort of weird.
The MOST bluetooth devices emulate a CD changer. If I select "disk 1" it's bluetooth. Disk 6 is the AUX input cable. If you don't have a CD changer, the radio won't let you select CDC as an input source. You need to find someone to code the radio to have a CD changer. This can be done by the dealer. I am not sure if Durametric could do it.
The bluetooth capability is pretty limited, it does phone audio and has an external mic that you mount somewhere. It plays audio and the next/previous track buttons skip songs. It shows artist/title on the screen if your radio supports that, mine is a PCM2 double din and it does show artist/title. That's about it. Can't accept calls, or place calls, that has to be done with your phone.
Looking at the operation guide for the CDR 23, it appears there's no anti theft/security code to enter in case of power loss, battery change, etc. Seems the car knows if the unit is a match or not, automatically.
Is this accurate? I can remove the stereo then reinstall with no security issues?
Remember the days when car stereos were frequently stolen?
I have an 03 C2, I bought the Tranzlt Blu RF device and the two antenna adapters you'll need. Easy to install, works great, been using it for almost 2 years now.
