Default x51 intake

Has anyone here laid hands on an m96 x51 intake manifold? I am particularly interested in the details of the two sections that cross between each bank's manifold (what we would call, on our standard intakes, the"plenum" and "resonance tube") I have found some top view pics but I would love to know what the actual layout and shape of the passageways are.

Thanks!

I've had the entire intake portion ripped out of my 40th anniversary car when doing the UAOS install. The connecting pieces that join both intake manifolds are plastic and I don't believe there is much difference to that of a regular motor. The rear tube did have the resonance flap that opens at a certain RPM.

Below are several photos of the actual intake manifold.

The X51 intake manifold does also have an additional vacuum hard line that run from the rear of the passenger side manifold and connects to the intake tube that connects to the throttle body.

I'm surprised by this! I though that the crossover section was also the sand formed aluminum and it was a single housing that contained the two chambers, with the resonance flapper being deleted. The pic I posted - is it not the m96 version of the x51 intake?

I'm not sure but that may be an older air cooled car intake manifold. Part number would answer that.

I take appreciate the info, thank you.

I've been trying to find part number and pics but since the x51 package was a factory option and not an aftermarket package ice had a hard time with it.

This all started because I got curious about deleting the resonance flap and what I had read made me think that was a part of the x51 intake setup. Clearly that's not the case though!

Update - that pic I posted is actually from the 997 version of the x51, thanks again for the clarity!
