Just got a mailer, TPC supercharger finally available...

Forgetting the fact that TPC is about 2 years late to market with theirs what are the practical differences between an Eaton positive displacement supercharger and a Vortech centrifugal supercharger ? TPC claims that 90% of max torque is available from 3000 rpms and the dyno charts certainly show a flatter curve for the TPC unit.
I would love to see a real world test done on cars with these 2 s/c's...

That would be an interesting comparo, but more important than performance, is reliability and install quality.
I hope they done some research on this issue, several 996 engines have blown along the years, this might takes to the fact that these engines are not prone to forced induction, otherwise it would/can be the best and cheaper way to boost power. If I hadn´t a my own Boxster Turbo engine blown experience, i would consider this upgrade.
