Are all 996.1 mufflers the same? On my 1999 C2 tip the existing mufflers have bellows on one of the pipes. I purchased mufflers from a 996.1 manual and the pipe is straight. Before I take everything apart will this fit on my car?

I always thought mufflers without bellows were from 3.4l (996.1) cars and those with bellows were from 3.6l (996.2) cars. But apparently the Tip 996.1s also came with bellows (unless your current mufflers are not original)? I know that does not answer your question, but someone here will know...

It should fit. The MK-I Tips came with bellows and the manuals came with the straight pipes. I know that MK-2 mufflers fit on all MK-I cars so there shouldn't be much of a difference. Not sure of the purpose of the bellows.
