Default Seat panel control re install

Hi all and happy thanksgiving

Hi all and happy thanksgiving I removed the seat panel with the adjustments and now installing it seems to be a major headache. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to do this ??? When I re attach the panel the controls are out of alignment and as a result I can no longer adjust the seat. Thankfully I had memory setting saved for the driver so not a critical problem but I would appreciate your guidance.

You need to put that piece that's still in the seat onto the outer panel FIRST. Hopefully you haven't broken any of the latching tabs off. It's not supposed to be taken apart like that.

Once the piece in the seat and the outer piece are assembled together it fits into the two notches in the seat frame, rotates down, and gets held in with the two screws.

If you have broken the latching tabs off - and I think you have - you will need to get a new seat control panel complete with wiring.
To take it out correctly you need to remove the bottom cushion from the seat frame. Then you can unplug the wires from the seat control box and fish the wires back out through the opening in the side.
Fish the wires from your replacement control panel back through but don't install the control panel yet. Reattach the bottom cushion, plug the wires in, and then install the control panel last.

Luckily I havent broken any tabs off! However I realized the error of my ways now... So I am going to see if I can unplug the wires from under the seat.. reconnect the 2 pieces and install and reconnect wires.
If that cant be done then I will pull seat out. Thank you for your response!

You may not have to pull the seat, just remove bolts (very easy) and tilt the seat back to work under it. They are quite heavy just put mine back in.

I didn't pull my seats out to install my roll bar.
They're a pain to get unplugged.
I just removed the 4 bolts and tilted them forward similar to what was suggested above.
