C2/4 Big Brake/Disc upgrade
Hi guys, I recently fitted a new big disc (350mm) to my C4 with the help of a guy (Martin996RSR over on 911.co.uk)
He has created a kit that allows you to use the rear discs from either a 997 Turbo (drilled) or a Panamera (Slotted)
I went for the slotted discs along with Ferodo DS2500 pads all round.
The fit and quality of the kit is superb, he basically uses spacers to place the disc in the correct position for the calipers and uses spacers on the calipers to bring them out to fit the discs.
The stopping power is tremendous, but more importantly the feel (even from cold) is fantastic, and as you go faster and the temperature rises, it gets better and better.
I already have the 997 GT3 master cylinder installed (stiffer and shorter pedal travel), and coupled with the bigger Discs and uprated pads, the difference is night and day.
I previously had DBA4000 discs with Endless MX72 pads, but found that this was not ideal for road use, as they took too long to warm up.
This has really transformed the braking and it now very similar to my 996.1 GT3
if you are looking for the best bang for buck upgrade for your C2/4, this is it!

Thanks 246GTSA, I really appreciate the kind words. If anyone else is interested in a kit then please PM me. I like the spindles in the lug bolt holes for making installation easier. I think I'll include those with future kits.
