These mini cup holders are useless.
Any recommendations to fill the gap? Storage nook ?

I find those cup holder handy for a small cup of coffe or a can of soda.

I would move the hvac controls up and do a lower consol delete. It would be the cleanest rework.

Good idea, i assume id need some sort of cubby to fill the empty void in the lower console. Cant seem to find available options.

Look up lower consol delete or removal. The parts are available to give it a clean straight dash look like older porsches

Those parts were standard equipment on Boxsters. They are usually on ebay if you want used.

Mistake, they don't make a cubby for that position.

You can move the HVAC up there and put a cubby in the lower spot.

How are these things set up typically? My radio, cd player and heater controls are in different positions. I have the cubby at the lowest position.
