Like any obsessed 996 owner, I decided to capture most of my adventures in keeping this car running proper and share them with the World. There was a recent thread on the subject of the front left (driver side for us with the steering wheel on the correct side) turn signal issues and my research through numerous forums led to what could possibly be the main culprit and explains its intermittent nature and ability to be corrected, in some cases, by displays of anger toward your headlight assembly.
Hope this helps someone in the future (and saves them time)!
Cheers!

Eddie,
This video just saved me a services appointment! I had read the other threads discussing this issue but I didn't realize the key was the bending of the turn signal bulb housing. I had to (impatiently) wait until the sun came up to fix but it worked! Thanks again.
Cheers,
Marc
