I went on the v.2's website and it appears to be the same unit 8mb ram etc. just a new face, and maybe new maps, but who knows.

Sandoval,

Can you tell me where you got your Traffic Pro great deal?

Thanks,
Mark

P.S. Are you still doing Red Caliper swaps? How many takers have you had so far? Thx. Mark

How is the sound quality?? Does it play CDRs? I really like the clean look, but I don't know if it's worth getting over the new Nakamichi unit(also stock looking).

I checked out the traffic pro II website. www.trafficpro2.com and I could see no difference. In fact the demo gives less information then the one I have. Mine is hooked up thru my Bose system and 6disc changer. Also can pop the front facia and stick in a cassette. With the TPro you get choice of American or English male or female. English female voice is cool. I say if you're going to get one get the current model unless I'm missing something. ?? Perhaps the new one has some new electronics but I didn't get it from the info on the website.????

Hey I was reading on the other boards about how the mapping soft is from 2001. Can we do something about an update? Mainly I would really be interested in not only the new maps, which should be not an issue given the traffic pro 2 is out with them, but would really like to know if they can upgrade the firmware to play mp3 discs!!!!! Now that would be ideal! Sandoval, you think you could pressure them into doing something with enough of a consortium?

Gents,

How is the high fidelity CD sound? I'm hoping it's got that spectacular Harmin Kardon sound and that the CD sound isn't second to the Nav function.
