What’s so special about the 996 fuel pump relay

Trying to determine why the 996 fuel pump relay is different than the others( other than the fact that pin 85 is used for coil ground). Is it fused, or lower amperage than the others. I have to rewire it for the ls conversion and am wondering if I should wire it so that a normal relay can work in its place. I would like to do this so that I don’t have to buy a specific relay for this but use the factory location.

I‘ll have to grab one of each and take a look when I get a chance.
You have me wondering what the difference might be too.

Recently wouldn't start, lucky was at home not work or otherwise far away. No time to troubleshoot so had towed to Indy; replaced fuel pump relay and starts normal. Also found and replaced leaking fuel level sender (it's in the tank on top of fuel pump) $800 total.
Lesson replace your fuel pump relay don't get stranded, use genuine Porsche only a few dollars more.
