we felt pretty lucky to have loaded up on TP at Costco right before the madness. I actually hauled it home in the passenger seat of my 996, since the rest of the car was full of other bull items. I couldn’t see the side view mirror.
This will not be a simple one to do. Besides drilling a hole, you will need a bracket that holds the wiper motor in place. I don't know if that is already installed in all cars but knowing how much car manufacturers like to save every penny, I doubt the install anything extra in these cars.
I was hoping, optimistically, that the mounting and wiring was already there like some other cars. I was prepared to drill but honestly, Rain-ex is a solid idea. Having wagons for so long, I am just really used to having clear rear glass in the rain. It’s completely ingrained to turn on the rear wiper with the front. I find the defrost to be pretty worthless compared to my Audi.
