A LOT of whats electrical that should never get wet is as low as possible in the car.. Under the seat and under the console..
You likely need to disconnect the battery and pull the interior. Start drying it out..

 

Dont forget if the alarm module is dead you cant R&R without programming the replacement to handshake with the DME
