Default Abandoned connector

Connector for ntc engine air temp
question...My '99' wiring harness has this abandoned connector laying on top of engine.
Is there a sensor this plugs into, or is this a leftover from an earlier model say a 993?
TIA for any reply.

Looks to me like the connector that is right above the alternator. I'll send a pic of mine later.

If it is that one its for a change over valve. Its part of the vacuum line assembly. U would be the second one here in the last week that found out that a po has reworked the vacuum assembly. Plugs into #18.
