Default Front wheel liner 02 C4S

ON my 02 C4S I noticed the liner between the tire and the front bumper is cracked. How hard is it to replace? Any special tools?
Thanks.

I just had mine off last weekend. It is an 01 but I am sure that it should be the same or very similar.
You will need a 10mm socket. There are 3 10mm nuts. one towards the front and two at the back.
A flat headed screwdriver to lever up the plastic tabs and a pair of pliers to pull them out. (don't be surprised if one or two of them break) they can be a little brittle.
The liner also goes under the bumper. If I remember rightly there are 3 Torks head screws (sorry. I don't remember what size) and also one more plastic tab.
Once you get all the fasteners off the liner will just pull straight out.

So does the front bumper have to come off. If so, I'll just tape it for now.

Yep, Like De Jeeper said, Take off the wheel. Bumper does not need to be removed.
You should be good to go.
How bad is the crack? If it is just a crack then you could just clean it thoroughly with soap and water and then with some rubbing alcohol. Use a 2 stage Epoxy, mix that up and apply in the crack. Use masking tape or something like that to keep it all together and leave it for a couple of hours to fully cure.

What about some of the rubber wheelhouse "air ducts" and other replaceable parts that might be damaged or missing? /X3

That's a good idea. I'll try that first. Thank you. Everything else under there looks fine. It was cracked when I bought it. No holes, all intact. Just a crack. Wheeler Dealer did a plastic bumper repair last night using I think nitrogen. Amazing what smart folk do. Fortunately it is a place where no one really sees so it just needs to be bonded, not visually prefect.

U need to pull up the diagrams for your year and model. Most of the c2 cars just have a one piece liner. Gt2-3 cars have several pieces and can be over $500 per side. I think it would be cool to upgrade to the gt-2 parts but i dont drive hard enough on the track to need the exta cooling and the cost/bennifit is out of my range. Best thing to do is have your dealer pull up your parts diagram by your vin or research yourself off the autoatlanta web site drawings.
