Default Quality Leather Seat Repair and Heat Addition

I have about seven bad disks that I live with from flying a Lockheed Martin for over 25 plus years and grabbed a Porsche C4s last year a big improvement over a Honda s2000 I had for 20 years.
Would prefer "one" shop to replace the 996 seat leather on left entry bottom, (no paint, dyes, spray patches) and wishfully install some seat heaters underneath the front two seats and possibly utilize the open buttons on the mid console open positions?
I use seat heaters year-round in my SUV and other cars, just like a great heating pad to relax the back, can do without the coolers. Especially great on long drives. Just retired January 1, couped up, so my time to do some research and get some recommendations.
Want the leather to look great, if I have to go to a seat side for switching will consider, but see that others add using existing ports and buying some switches from Suncoast. Thanks for any input, new to the Boulder area and under our so-called quarantined rules.

I would suggest looking for a complete leather interior from another car used.
Lot less money.

There's a couple of sets in the marketplace.

My interior is in great shape, only 50K miles, mine actually look better than those in the marketplace and no need to replace the whole interior when I have a six by three-inch wear position on the driver's seat. Looks like I will just have fixed at an upholstery shop in Denver/Boulder area. If any recommendations for shops or adding heated seats to existing would appreciate it.

The leather itself can be sourced from Veteran Leather and then any upholsterer ought to be able to do the job. Don't let people tell you it is cheaper to buy seats because it isn't, assuming you have someone who can turn a hide into a seat.

Thanks so much, just what I was looking for. I agree I wasn't going to replace the two front seats for a six by three-inch worn spot. Most of the seats you see for sale look ten times worse than mine anyway. It should not be that difficult for I got a number of upholstery shops in the Denver area.

I should probably include a link if I am going to give a slightly wrong name for the business.....
http://www.veteranco.com

BTW, this is by no means the best leather out there, but it is the same leather as what is already in your car, which is probably more important.

I had a similar issue in the past with my 996 C4S. I went to the upholstery shop that was recommended by one of the local Porsche dealerships. I believe it was Auto Trim Specialists on Evans St. In Denver. The good news is that they can do what you want. I had several panels replaced in both seats. I also had seat heaters added. The bad news is that they weren’t able to use existing switches or blanks. They installed the switches on the front of the seats. Additionally, the leather work they performed was good, but not great. I probably wouldn’t use them again.

So, the purpose of my post is to let you know that what you seek can be done, but to warn you to be careful of which shop you choose.

Thanks for the heads up guess I will have to take a chance wherever I go. Can you tell me around how many panels you have had done and how much it was? I 'm going to add seat heaters also.

I'll be watching this as I'm in Boulder also and would like to do the same type of thing from my 99 C4 w/sport seats. I went to Custom Upholstery on East Arapahoe in Boulder and wasn't filled with confidence. The guy that looked at my seats said they were vinyl, not leather (I have the full leather option).

This is a great find! Have you used them personally?

My car is Natural Brown, and while I don't see it listed I do see P1834 Saddle. Anyone know if that might be it?

Have the same question on my grey, doesn't seem like the most sophisticated website and there are a few others that offer Porsche hides, but then again I believe it comes down to the upholstery shop and who is doing the work, car seats are a bit more complicated than sofas or chairs. I have heard from others that often even if the same hide and dye the colors may not match due to age, but I am one of those people that want it correct. I came across another place Hydes Leather (easily googled). Their installer in Colorado is "Camaro Joe"s in Firestone. Not sure what to think of that one,

Usually that’s the issue, this sort of work is hard to find. When you find a good one they are usually expensive. Pretty much a dying art. That’s why buying a good used seat is sometimes better.

My car had Natural Brown Leather seats. The closest match was something called “cork” leather. It was very close, but not perfect. I’m sure that was due in part to my OE leather changing over time. I had the outboard bolsters changed on both front seats, on the bottom and the top. As I recall, this was around $400 per seat.
