Creaky Clutch
I have encountered my first legitimate problem with my new to me 2004 911 Carrera Coupe. It only took 2 months and 1000 miles...
So the car had its clutch, flywheel, IMSB, and RMS replaced about 4 years and 20k miles ago.
The clutch seems to work just fine, has good engagement (no popping out of gear), and is silent until the car gets good and warmed up. After roughly 30 minutes of driving the clutch begins to creak like an old wooden boat. Ive done some searching and it seems the limited consensus on this is about $100 of parts: clutch release lever, ball pin, and some Kentucky jelly.
I do not believe this has anything to do with the clutch pedal helper spring as the sound sure seems to be coming from the vicinity of the transmission not the pedal.
Anyone have some other solution than dropping the transmission and replacing the above mentioned parts?
My plan for now is to drop the trans and replace lever/pin when I'm on 14 days of self quarantine in the near future...

I had the helper spring creaking on mine for the first 2 months of my ownership (2 years ago). Drove me nutz. Only made the noise in the summer, once warm too/ never did it when cold. A little bit of lube sprayed up in the spring area, if I recall is what my indy did, and all gone, never come back. He didn't even charge me anything. It's cheap and non-invasive to try first before you dive into the tranny removal and $$$$
Appreciate the input, but did you watch the video?
Its obviously louder near the transmission.
I’ll be dropping it myself so I think it’ll pretty much be free other than my time and the $100 in parts.

I too have a creaky clutch. Just haven’t gotten to fixing it yet. There is an upgraded ball pin offered from Rauch & Spiegel that has a better bearing material on the ball.
It appears the vendor is all out of the upgraded ball pin at this time, so someone is buying them.
Interested to hear from anyone who has successfully gotten rid of the creaking recently.
Thanks for the link! This has to be a pretty common problem that most of us are ignoring.

I’m hoping mine is different and just possibly isolated to the release lever and pivot point.
My clutch is silent until the engine is good and warmed up. Roughly half an hour of driving. Don’t notice it all unless sitting in traffic or pulling away from complete stops.
Video I posted is after I just turned the car off from giving it a good Saturday flogging through some local twisties.
