996 Battery 999-611-070-20?
Hello everyone, been awhile on the site and even longer for the baby in the garage. Went to Stevens Creek Porsche for a new Battery. Part #999-611-070-20? When I got home I have a 999-611-080-00! It seems the difference is the 70ah VS, the 80ah. What is that going to affect if anything? Thanks.

Loren, thanks for the input. I spoke with Porsche Monterey and they told me the 80ah is used for cars with the Nav-systems. Also, Porsche no longer makes the 80ah, replaced with the 75ah. Furthermore, the .070.20 ships DRY from Porsche and the dealer fills it with ACID! So we're on the road today !!!!

I too picked up the trickle charger from the dealer, hence adding more to the bottom line price for the battery as chi pointed out. The point from the dealer however was this, not only should you NOT run other batteries due to the fact that they don't fit real well, Monterey pointed out the P-car system needs a more "STABLE" power source and the after markets do ok for cranking amps, put could potentially cause alt problems and induce whine into the vehicle. Just the messanger !
