Default larger rear tire advise

Hello guys.
i recently installed Ohlins R&T coilovers on my 02 C2, and lowered the car.
now i would like to add some wheel spacers, to get them as as aligned with the fenders as possible.
the front is looking good, so i just need spacers there. the rear fender is looking a bit "empty" so i was wondering if there is a way to "fill it up" with a larger tire (before taking measurements for the spacer, or maybe i will not need a spacer at all)
at the moment i'm running on Bridgestone Potenza S-04 285/30 R18 on the OEM lightweight wheels, which are 10" wide i believe.

any advice will be greatly appreciated..

We have 295/30/18s no rubbing and wheel well still looks empty. Stock suspension, 65 mm back spacing. Planning on trying 285/35/18 next, other posts said no rubbing even lowered and with spacer.

are we talking about the same engineers that designed the IMS, AOS, RMS and the expansion tank?
jokes aside, aren't most of the track cars are using different tires and wheels than stock?
i believe that some of engineering decision has to do with cost fuel consumption, and emission regulations.

Not sure the OEM wheel has the appropriate back spacing to achieve your desired look. You may need wheel spacers.

Here's my current set up, and the tires & wheels are flush with the fender.

Front:
18x9ET44.5mm
245/40/18

Rear:
18x11.5ET60.5mm
315/30/18

yes. plan is to use spacers if needed, but need to start with the correct tire to take measurements.
your car looks great. the 315's will probably won't fit the OEM wheel.

Speaking from experience, they'll fit. All depends on your tire installer. Here's another 315/30 on an 11" wheel and a 265/35 on a 9" one:

Can you take a few more pictures of the tire clearance?
Are your fenders rolled?
What suspension mods?

315/30 wants to be on 10.5 to 11.5 wide rim. Those 5 spoke wheels are 10 inch so a little bit narrower but could still give it a shot. Might not be ideal for Max performance but you are not likely to be competing on those wheels and tire combos anyway.

Rolled fenders, JIC/ Cross coilovers, bigger front ARB, RSS rear toe arms. Have the weight down to 2950, give or take a few lbs. Wavetrac diff ties it all together, can throttle steer now.

Will get more pics when they let me out of the dungeon.

It looks like it is going fast, just standing still
Nice stance, I will bet it handles as good as it looks.

You wouldn't happen to have wheel specs you could share? size and offsets.
I'm getting ready to order custom wheels.
