I think in your case you should just talk to the dealer to turn on the OBC system with the PST computer they have.

I am now working hard to make a retrofit of the OBC and Cruise control at the same time.

Right now I am looking into wiring diagrams to sort everthing out. Will ofcouse take a lot of pictures when I start.

Okay. here are the spare part prices.

In germany from Porsche.

996 613 219 00 EAK (now 10 EWC) 180 Euro.This is with cruise control.

996 613 215 00 EAK (now 10 EWC) 260 Euro This is without Cruise control.

At the local dealer shop in Denmark it cost around 30 Euro more. Since he has helped me so much, I have now ordered the the part here in Denmark.

Will keep you all updated on the work.

So am I to understand that on my '01 996 without an OBC, there is a way to get the info display under the tach to read out the outside temp constantly?
